A cotton, cone-shaped filtering bag, dedicated for filtering wine and infusion liqueurs, neutral to their flavour, reusable, made of raw cotton, which has no impact on the flavour of the liquid filtered. It is a product that should be included in the basis set of accessories of every home liquor maker.
The bag is intended for filtration of the finished wine (after separating the fruit must) and particularly for purifying infusion liqueurs. It will also be useful for pressing juice from small amounts of fruit after initial maceration or fermentation. The bag has a conical shape and the capacity of 3 litres. It is made of clean, raw cotton of high quality. One of the advantages of this fabrics is the fact that it has no impact on the flavour of the liquid filtered. The bag is reusable and suitable for manual or mechanical washing – in a washing machine in temperature of 60⁰C.
How to use
Before filtering, the infusion liqueur should be cooled down, thanks to which the impurities will coalesce into “thicker” floccules, thus increasing the filtration efficiency. After pouring the infusion liqueur into the bag it should be hung by the holders (ears) attached to it and the liquid should be allowed to flow down due to gravitation. The liquor will seep slowly through the tip of the conical bag, while any impurities will settle on its sides.
In the event of the filtering wine (through the bag hung by its ears), the efficiency of this process can be improved – to this end, it is recommended to “twist” the bag along its axis.
